Home Restoration: Good ways to setup cablings

There is no doubt that when working on home restoration projects there will come the inevitable point where you will need to set up electronic devices that have several cables attached to them, and after the hard work of fixing and rebuilding the place the last thing you need is for it to look bad because of wires hanging around.

Fortunately today there are several ways to fix this problem and we are going to give you a couple of ideas today. First and foremost make sure that every cable you will need to fix is connected to where it should be connected and that everything is working. This is very critical, otherwise you will find yourself in a lot of trouble trying to fix it afterwards.

Once this is done you need to decide which way you want to go, you can either use a hose carrier which is something like the hose of a vacuum cleaner and in which you put the cables into so you can keep them together, the advantage of this method is the elasticity of the hose which allows for you to set it as best as you need.

A more complex method involves, and this applies when you are connecting devices to a flat tv, making a hole on the wall, pass the cables through and make another hole right behind where the equipment will go, now this is delicate because you can’t miss either the back of the tv and the back where the equipment will go or it will be a mess.

If this method can’t be applied you can use a cable raceway which allows for you to set up the “bottom” half on the wall with adhesive or screws, then pass the cables and put the top on it to close, this is the most used method for several reasons, first, it is easy to add cables as much a the raceway allows, second you can paint it in a way that it blends with the wall and you won’t even notice it’s there. Also, they come in white so any color you want can be applied.

So next time you tackle a home restoration project that involves setting up wires, you have three ways to make them literally disappear.
