Home Restoration: Replacing your fridge

Home Restoration means a lot of things, and one of them is replacing kitchen equipment like, in this case, your fridge. It is no secret that your fridge is a key part of your kitchen, is where you keep your food fresh and cold at the same time, it is a hub for the entire family and thus it is supposed to last for a very long time. But the moment will come when you might buy a new one and of course, setup will come.

Now, before you buy anything you need to begin by measuring the space available, meaning where the previous fridge is located, this is critical because if you a buy a fridge that is too big, it won’t fit and you will find yourself in a very complicated predicament.

The next step is to decide whether or not you want a double door fridge, this is also important because you need to make sure that doors can open once the fridge is in position (remember that some fridges go into the wall so that is also critical).

Also, make sure you have water installations available if your new fridge is to have ice maker and water dispenser, if not, then you will need to make the necessary setup prior to install the fridge and even buy it (case might be that installation is not possible so a fridge with ice maker and water dispenser won´t be an option from the start on).

Remember also that you can not turn on the fridge once you get it, you need to wait at least 16 hours or 24 at best so the gases inside and the cooling liquid get to the bottom and are ready to be pumped all around.

Failure to do this might damage the device so you better be careful. Remember, home restoration is a very cool endeavor but it is also important to always consult with the professionals when you have doubts.
